First off, HAPPY SEPTEMBER, EVERYONE!!! Whooo fall is approaching swiftly!
Here is the conclusion to our cake baking/surprise party saga.
We iced the cake yesterday, and we also made a card. The cake traveled from my house to Marieke's, during which time the icing melted. Then today, we transported it from Marieke's to the pool...again, melted. But the word had spread that cake was being made, so lots of girls were there to celebrate, and the cake ended up being pretty good. Myra was definitely surprised so that was fun - our plan worked! :) Here are some pictures of the process and the final conclusion - we were happy to do this for her!
The apartment was HOT - I tied up my dress, HAHA!

Can anyone guess what we watched while we made the card? :) Marieke had never seen it! We are currently working through all the movies she missed out on growing up...

Yayee- i'm so glad it turned out well and you had fun! sounds like a great memory for her first birthday in Grenada. You are a pro now at fixing cakes with melted icing :) !
